2016 Strikemaster®: 30 TV commercials | Adventure Hunting Moose Deer Outfitters and the great outdoors
That was 1946. The boys had returned from the war and our country needed a break. Woods and water provided the perfect escape. A number of manufacturers have emerged to satisfy this desire to be outdoors. StrikeMaster was one of the first. And over 65 years later, StrikeMaster continues to equip ice fishermen with innovative, high-performance ice augers. Part of being an inherited manufacturer is reinvesting in the sport. Practicing what they preach, StrikeMaster has launched a youth ice fishing program in Minnesota’s Hinckley-Finlayson schools. There are plans to extend the accredited program to other school districts. StrikeMaster worked with the Association for the Advancement of Hmong Women in Minnesota to introduce children to this richly traditional sport. Fishing is a big part of Asian culture, and learning to ice fish allows them to perpetuate this heritage here in North America. On the recreational front, StrikeMaster cuts tens of thousands of holes at Brainerd Jaycee’s Ice Fishing Extravaganza, a fundraiser for Confidence Learning Center in Brainerd, Minnesota. StrikeMaster also waves the ice fishing flag at the International Hangover Festival in Walker, Minnesota. We’re the first generation of modern ice fishermen. It’s our responsibility to pass on the torch. We must be actively engaged to be a steward. This kind of mindfulness will fortify the next 65+ years of ice fishing.
