Another blow to the moose pit!

Here’s another up-close-and-personal view/experience of moose rutting antics. When the bull digs his pit and urinates, the pheromonal allure of the cows is impossible to ignore. It almost drives them crazy. Not with passion, but with the need to roll around in that smelly mud! They fight each other to wallow and trample in It’s a wild and funny part of the bull’s rut.moose.As you can see, we always have a tree (several) nearby, and we shoot with long lenses, as it can get hairy/dangerous at times.
