Since then, the quality of fishing, hunting and accommodation has been steadily improving. Regulations for the use of cottages

It is your responsibility to ask the Administration for any details concerning your stay. These rules are in place for your safety and comfort.

  1. Arrival time is now 2 p.m. anddeparture time is 11 a .m. for the dates indicated on your invoice. An extra day will be charged for late departures (after 11am).
  2. You can pay
    either
    by personal cheque mailed 10 days before arrival, or in cash on arrival, or by credit card.
  3. For your safety, smoking is not permitted in the chalets. Failure to comply automatically constitutes a serious offence.
  4. You must return your garbage to the Auberge before and at the end of your stay.
  5. Swimming is at your own risk.
  6. At the end of your stay, you must return the chalet to the condition it was in when you arrived. This includes, among other things, washing up, making sure the living areas are clean and sweeping up.
  7. You must follow the instructions for campfires and fireplaces, especially in times of drought. Failure to do so will result in your expulsion from Waban-Aki Outfitters, and you will be required to pay the full cost of your contract.

Failure to comply will result in an additional charge of up to $250 for each infraction. In addition, major offences will be punished by expulsion or a ban on staying at Waban-Aki Outfitters. These additional costs do not limit your civil liability.

Fishing regulations

  1. You must obtain a fishing license from the Government of Quebec before arriving at the outfitter. Click here to consult the list of sales agents to find out where you can buy a hunting, fishing or trapping license.
  2. The daily catch limit for each fishing permit is 10 speckled trout and 2 lake trout on Waban-Aki Outfitter territory.
  3. For each day of fishing and for each lake fished, you must indicate the number and weight of trout caught.
  4. You are entitled to 10 speckled trout and 2 lake trout in your possession per permit at all times (including when you leave the outfitter).
  5. No live or dead baitfish. Failure to comply automatically constitutes a serious offence.
  6. Only electric or gas engines of 6 hp or less are allowed on lakes.
  7. Do not discard the remains (entrails, skin, bones, etc.) of your catch in lakes or on land. The remains of your catches constitute waste and must be returned to the Auberge during or at the end of your stay.

Hunting regulations

  2. You must respect hunting quotas.
  3. You must pay the Waban-Aki Outfitter’ s hunting fee before engaging in any hunting activities on the territory.
