Bull moose fight with Left Hook and Swagger

We’ve refined this video, adding captions to better explain what’s going on. Here, Left Hook, who had just chased a cow that wasn’t ready, (not in the video) seems to be looking for a fight. He went through the motions of the pre-combat checklist; raking, grunting, shaking his head. We didn’t see any other elk in the area, but we knew there had to be a bull somewhere.

Finally, we saw it; Swagger! In the distance. They eventually clashed, and although the fight was brief, Swagger was injured despite being the victor.We saw him keep a low profile for two weeks after the fight, and he was still limping badly.

We didn’t see it last year.
