Taint of a large bull moose Visuel Incroyable
Source – Eric DeschampsPut on s’y du son and take 6 minutes of your time?Souille mâle moose As promised, here is a very rare video filmed a few days ago of a mature bull moose making a stain. commentsIn addition to identifying a territory, the stumps are also used to “retain” one or more females. At the time of this observation, I had already been in the company of these 3 moose for several hours. These 3 individuals allowed me to meet 4 other moose (2 males and 2 females). In the end, it was really this mother moose and this bull who “led the parade”: the female first urinated in a small body of water. The male then drank from this water for 2 minutes non-stop. I immediately realized that a defile was more than likely. I did my best to position myself without disturbing the 3 moose I had in front of me. As if on cue, he started to smell the ground and “Pouff”. All of a sudden, he starts digging a hole in the ground. :00:00: He picks the soil to make a kind of hole in which he will urinate repeatedly.1:00: We see the small female 4 months old, who reacts to the smell of urine and dirt by rubbing herself against a small fir tree.2:03: This is where the it happens! You’ll see the male go into a kind of trance. He violently picks at the ground, and you can see the urine “flying” everywhere. The goal is simple: get as much of it on him as possible. He’s going to get it all over his snout, the legs and plume and will rub as much as he can to spread his urine over it.3:15: The female and the little one react strongly to the smell and absolutely want to go to bed close to the big male.3:35: In her turn, the momThe mother, very excited, leaves her scent on the side of the stain by rubbing herself against a small fir tree.4:45: The mother gives his daughter to take her place.5:35: An absolutely magical scene in which we see the mother 6:00: The 3 splendid individuals can be well observed. There are several reflections that come to mind. come in your mind as you live this scene. For example, the major difference in dynamics between the interaction of a large male and a female calf vs. a male calf. Hierarchy is certainly not just in the lives of males, but quite possibly in females too. In short, there’s still so much to learn about these animals I love so much… Please feel free to share this rare and special video.
