Clay Hayes Hunter 100 meters! PRIMITIVE recurve bow for long-distance shootingLong-distance shooting with a traditional bow is just plain fun. It’s also a great way to improve accuracy and tighten arrow groups at shorter distances. This week, Clay Hayes attempts to shoot a 3D deer target at 100 yards with his primitive wooden recurve bow. Long-distance archery requires the archer to choose a very small point to hit the target. When moving to a shorter distance, this extreme concentration is maintained, often resulting in more accurate shooting at shorter distances. To hit a target at long distance, it’s important to have a well-tuned bow and arrow. Take a look at my tuning video to find out how to tune your longbow, recurve and arrows for perfect arrow flight. If you’re looking for shooting tips, I also have several videos that cover correct archery form, aiming technique, back tension, empty shooting, etc.Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. Every week we upload a new video on one of the following subjects: bowhunting, bowmaking, survival techniques, bushcraft, self-reliance, primitive technology, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing…A big thank you to our partners who help us finance these videos!https://www.3riversarchery.com/https://seekoutside.comhttps://orioncoolers.comVous You can also connect with me on my other media! Join Clay, Liz and the kids on their outdoor adventures, from bowhunting deer and elk in the mountains of Idaho to hunting wild hogs in Florida, and practicing crafts and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love it, but it’s also how we get most of our meat. Hunting is our way of life. We also cultivate a large garden on our Idaho property. This, combined with hunting, fishing and gathering, is how we obtain most of our food.
