Clay Hayes Hunter Making primitive arrows and bowhunting grouse – Season 9 soloOne of the most frequent questions I get about the History Channel’s Alone is about making primitive arrows in the wild. Survival show contestants are only allowed to take 9 arrows, and when bowhunting small game like grouse and squirrels, it’s easy to lose them. In this video, I’ll show you how to make primitive arrows like I did in Alone Season 8. In a long-term survival or wilderness situation, knowing how to make and maintain a functional primitive bow and arrow can be a crucial survival skill. For these primitive arrows, I’ll be using natural shafts and grouse feathers. Tips are made of fire-hardened single wood. Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. Every week we upload a new video on one of the following subjects: archery, bow hunting, bow making, survival techniques, bushcraft, self-reliance, primitive techniques, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing.Surviving on your own – https://amzn.to/39jsti8Un Many thanks to our partners who help us finance these videos! Join Clay, Liz and the kids on their outdoor adventures, from bowhunting deer and elk in the mountains of Idaho to hunting wild hogs in Florida, and practicing crafts and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love it, but it’s also how we get most of our meat. Hunting is our way of life. We also cultivate a large garden on our Idaho property. This, combined with hunting, fishing and gathering, is how we obtain most of our food.
