Clay Hayes Hunter Traditional Archery – Crash Course
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a video on traditional archery, but with bowhunting season just around the corner, I thought I’d give a crash course on traditional archery for bowhunting. I’ll be talking about archer position, string hand position, bow hand position, psychological triggers, draw, bow form, back tension and follow-through. I’ll also link to previous videos that delve deeper into each of these facets of archery. In this video, I’m shooting a sinewy longbow, but these techniques are valid for recurve bows, longbows and even compound bows. Here’s the “Shooting & Tuning” playlist where you’ll find detailed videos covering every part of my shooting sequence, from stance to form and follow-through to how to aim a recurve or longbow.Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. Every week we upload a new video on one of the following subjects: archery, bowhunting, bowmaking, survival techniques, bushcraft, self-sufficiency, primitive techniques, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing…Surviving alone by Clay Hayes – https://amzn.to/3Qqou3lUn Many thanks to our partners who help us fund these videos! We make the best traditional archery, bow making, recurve hunting, craftsmanship and survival videos on the web. Join Clay, Liz and the kids on their outdoor adventures, from bowhunting deer and elk in the mountains of Idaho to hunting wild hogs in Florida, and practicing crafts and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love it, but it’s also how we get most of our meat. Hunting is our way of life. We also cultivate a large garden on our Idaho property. This, combined with hunting, fishing and gathering, is how we obtain most of our food.
