Descriptions:
Clay Hayes Hunter Wild hog bowhunting with a primitive recurve bow
I grew up in the south, in what was once rural Florida, a place with a long tradition of hog hunting. This week, Clay Hayes returns to the southern marshes to bowhunt wild hogs with his primitive osage orange recurve bow.Although there is no hog hunting season, no gun restrictions, and no other regulations governing wild hog hunting, Clay chooses to limit his equipment to the primitive archery equipment he makes himself. The pig is an introduced species, meaning that it is not native to North America. They were introduced very soon after the first Spaniards landed and quickly became naturalized. They are very prolific breeders, sometimes having several litters in a single year. They are also highly destructive and considered a pest in most of their current range. But as destructive as they are, feral hogs are just plain fun to bowhunt. On this hunt, we’ll do some stalking in the swamps and woods of southern Georgia. Follow Clay as he tries to bring home wild, organic, free-range pork, and a few new stories to share around the campfire with friends and family.Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. Every week we upload a new video on one of the following subjects: bow hunting, bow making, survival techniques, bushcraft, self-reliance, primitive techniques, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing.A big thank you to our partners who help us finance these videos! https://www.3riversarchery.com/https://seekoutside.comhttps://orioncoolers.comVous You can also connect with me on my other media! We make the best traditional archery, bow making, recurve hunting, craftsmanship and survival videos on the web. Join Clay, Liz and the kids on their outdoor adventures, from bowhunting deer and elk in the mountains of Idaho to hunting wild hogs in Florida, and practicing crafts and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love it, but it’s also how we get most of our meat. Hunting is our way of life. We also cultivate a large garden on our Idaho property. This, combined with hunting, fishing and gathering, is how we obtain most of our food.
