We specialize in the production of fine spirits, inspired by our home region of La Mitis. We produce a range of spirits from local and imported ingredients. Sugar cane-based spirits are our specialty. Like we value diversity, we have developed Mugo gin in collaboration with Les Jardins de Métis, and we are currently developing Acerum, a spirit made from concentrated maple sap with a Quebec-only appellation, in partnership with Ma Cabane en Gaspésie. project started in 2016 from a shared passion for spirits, a dream of creativity and the desire to participate in the development of our region. As entrepreneurs, we value the creation of distinctive, quality Quebec spirits, and we chose the location of our distillery for one major reason: water, an essential resource for the production of our products. The Mitis River water provides the desired characteristics for fermentation, giving us a product that meets the standards of the burgeoning fine spirits industry.
Visit the distillery
A 30-minute tour of the distillery on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. From the rooftop terrace of the distillery’s cellar, discover how Distillerie Mitis spirits are made. You’ll enter the cellar, where the oak barrels of rum and acerum are stored, and then be shown the fermentation and distillation process alongside our 1,000-liter alembic.For tour groups, please contact the distillery.For those unable to use a staircase, a special area has been set aside at ground level for you to visit the store.Book my visit
