Domestic cat in bobcat den! Moose Nature

Domestic cat in bobcat den! Moose Nature. We were lucky enough to capture a bobcat in one of its many dens. Seeing them is random, and on this day, the mother was in the sun (we could see her) while one of her 8-month-old cubs stayed closer to the den. The kitten was behaving strangely; he was nervous and looking all around him. We thought there might be a porcupine nearby, as this has happened before. But when the cat froze on her perch and we followed her gaze, we were shocked to see a cat! It didn’t make sense; where could it have come from? And what was he doing in a lynx’s den? He made himself comfortable, and the two cats stared at each other. We assumed that the lynx (three times the size of the cat) would pounce any second and get rid of the gray cat. I think you’ ll be as surprised as we were at the end. Make the most of it! Nature…wow, right? Thanks for checking out our channel, we’re the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey, (Libby squared), New Hampshire wildlife photographers (and part-time Alaskans.) It’s our passion to document wildlife of all kinds, but elk are definitely at the top. In New Hampshire, we spend many of our spring and summer kayaking hours photographing loons and elk in New Hampshire waters. And we hike miles and miles in Alaska in search of all kinds of wildlife in the fall.To find much more of our content on Nikon/Sony gear, techniques and all things wildlife, click on the links below. matted, framed, metal, canvas prints of our images as well as merchandising products; t-shirts/hats/mugs/puzzles/books and more – which you can find on our website. informations:FACEBOOKSITE WEBINSTAGRAMEMAILmoosemanphotos@comcast.netRick & Libby Libbey ownersAndover, NH 03216source
