The 2021 red tide season was anything but natural. But that’s what the media would have you believe.
In recent months, Tampa Bay has been the scene of multiple toxic wastewater discharges directly into this delicate ecosystem, reinforcing the algal blooms of this year’s red tide, making the water toxic to all marine life. Fish, dolphins, manatees, rays, sharks, eels, bait, etc. To date (mid-July 2021), over 3 million pounds of dead marine life have been collected from the St Petersburg Estuary and Tampa Bay. (Unfortunately, we haven’t even reached the peak of our typical red tide season, and we all fear we’ll continue to see massive fish kills…
