Faux scraped by Max OutdoorsIn the spirit of always keeping you informed, and sharing our tips and tricks, here’s one we use in several places on our hunting sitesFalse scratches, which are always accompanied by a branch underneath, so that the deer can rub their scent and communicate with each other. Here, we made a false scrape near a baiting site, not directly next to the site itself, but close to it. What’s more, in the past year, the area has undergone quite drastic logging, so we’ll be able to validate this year whether the herd will still be present, or not, in the face of this change.
