Shared between the Lanaudière and Laurentian regions, Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin presents a distinct duality. The distribution of the two watersheds that anchor this corner of the country adjacent to the parc national du Mont-Tremblant to the west, the sometimes fiery, sometimes indolent Rivière Rouge and its tributaries, home to speckled trout, and to the east, the sinuous and mysterious Rivière Matawin and its tributaries, teeming with northern pike.
Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin is 180 km from Montreal via both La Macaza and Saint-Michel-des-Saints.
