Fishing chronicle – To tie or not to tie?

One of the questions I’m most often asked is whether to use a tether or swivel to attach a jig or swimmer. The answer depends on the situation. If, for example, you want to fish for pike, then I’ll be sure to use a metal hook.

But when fishing for walleye or bass, I don’t use it. I like to keep my editing subtle. What’s more, the lure’s action will be optimal if you don’t use any. The lure will therefore not be unwound.
