From a small moose to a giant in just 3 years. The countdown is over! Hello, we’ve been working on this project for weeks! One of the things we love most about mooseWe love to consult old photo files and our journal to identify moose we’ve seen in previous years, and sometimes the results are simply shocking! As you know, I (Rick) write the daily articles, and Libby answers all comments and questions. We ask you to pay close attention as you watch this one, because the way it unfolds is a huge surprise.I’ve written before about how fast a moose can grow… it’s incredible. But this man’s story is inspiring. Last fall, the first big bull we found was a huge male with wide-spread antlers. You may remember that he hung out with one of our favorites, whom we call Spike.He was huge, and he had these wonderful antlers that were almost flat all the way through. Yes, we call him Flat Top and within a few weeks, with the help of our friend and what I found digging through the files, we realized we’d seen him the year before. But that turned out to be just the beginning of the story. Amazing!
