Hello, wolf pack! 🙂 short video of a magnificent puppy drum I caught unawares while surf fishing near Oregon Inlet in North Carolina. The water was crystal clear and we weren’t having any luck with the usual baits or bottom rigs, so I took my rod out to the rocks and tried a little jig paddletail… I couldn’t believe it – second throw! p.s. my second favorite puppy drum recipe is to use simple olive oil and heat it in a frying pan. cut fish into strips and season drum with redfish magic. fry on both sides for a few minutes and DIG IN! tastes BETTER than chicken… Damn, I missed the salt water!
