Moose at the water’s edge

Moose at the water’s edge. Welcome to Moose & Coffee! The video elk today is fun. There’s love in the air near the watering hole in the Alaskan woods. The moose rut is very progressive. The rut starts slowly and progresses slowly day by day. It begins at the end of August, when the male moose lose their velvet. This process kicks things off, but as we’ve discovered over the last seven years, there are different stages to the rut, and each of them takes place very slowly. This is one of my favorite parts. It’s slow, but it’s deliberate. In today’s video, weeks of courtship have passed and, as October approaches, the female elk are beginning to be receptive to the advances of the males. We’ve left the narration out of this video, so let’s enjoy it together. The sounds of the nature Alaska, a beautiful blue sky day, with a buck grunting here and there, here’s a fun video for the middle of the week.Feel free to share this video with your friends, and stay tuned for a new moose video this Saturday at 730AM EST.
