MooseMan Nature Photos Video

Hello, thank you for joining us for a new video “Saturday Moose & Coffee. This one is relatively short, but it was a very special moment for us last autumn.Let me start by sharing a few thoughts about the big guy….22.We’ve been fascinated by this beast since 2017. He’s lived an incredible life and, as far as we can tell, has surpassed his status given his slim frame. That never stopped him. We were lucky enough to see him fight and beat a few bulls, but that’s just the ones we actually saw. He’s been a fighter for years, and if he shows up this fall, as far as I’m concerned (Rick), I’ll be surprised and extremely excited. We’re slowly building a narrative of at least part of his life, and we’ll be sharing it over the coming months.Today’s video is instructive. Are male elks frustrated? You’re absolutely right. We’ve seen many bull moose get frustrated during the rut. It’s very common to see a large bull chasing a cow moose that has pushed him away. It happens all the time. Last autumn, the 22 had to deal with so many changes that we think it had a big impact. Let’s see, first… his old pal Mismatch is gone, I’ll always believe that 22 felt affected by that. Then there was Swagger… He was big and mean, and in a way, he turned the region upside down. To summarize briefly, 22 was in places we’d never seen him before, abandoned his usual sleeping areas and found himself in unusual (for him) areas. This brings us to today’s video of him chasing that little calf. We’d never seen anything like it before and were totally surprised. I hope you’ll share it with your friends. Thanks for watching our channel, we’re the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey, (Libby squared), New Hampshire (and part-time Alaska) wildlife photographers.
