Oscar Lake Outfitters in La Tuque, a family passion handed down from generation to generation
The Farrar family’s passion for hunting and fishing goes back a long way. And the desire to share this passion with other nature lovers was born long before the current generation of Farrars.

It was in the late 60s, when the concept of outfitting didn’t yet exist, that Marc Farrar began his modest entrepreneurial activities with the acquisition of two cottages in the Haute-Mauricie region. Over the years, the family built several cottages and an inn that welcomed many nature enthusiasts, until they acquired the small outfitting operation at Lac Oscar in La Tuque in 1987, on land then only accessible by floatplane.

Today, La pourvoirie du lac Oscar in La Tuque is recognized as one of the largest and most beautiful outfitters in Quebec. Every year, it welcomes numerous families and groups of friends who enjoy huntingOur white pine cottages, all designed for the comfort of our visitors, are beautifully situated on the shores of the lakes or the Blanc reservoir that grace the landscape of the outfitter’s territory.
