One thing led to another and, at the age of 12, I went on my first moose-hunting trip with my cousin Yvon Lévesque, and harvested my first female moose on sight. I can tell you that it was the beginning of a long and beautiful story of passion. At the age of 26, I had an unfortunate car accident that mortgaged me, and at that moment the memory of my first evisceration came back to me: I couldn’t see a thing while I was doing it. So I decided to create a tool to help me, which I’d never thought of marketing, until a few people watched me gut my moose and deer, and asked me where I’d got it, and from there began my adventure of inventing products for hunters. Despite the early pitfalls, and the fact that I stopped selling the Rib Cage Spreader for about 6 years, every year I’d get requests from customers who’d leafed through the old hunting and fishing magazines, asking to have them again. Then I met Mr. André Leblanc, who offered to have it produced in China with his expertise, and the project was revived.source
