After Dylan managed to kill a deer he called the Sheriff, I went back to Ohio and had one particular deer in mind. It was a deer I called Splits. Splits was an old warrior I’d been keeping an eye on for 4 or 5 years and, from his previous activity around mid-October, I knew there was a good chance he’d reappear at one of my farms. This farm is extremely difficult to hunt. It’s a bottom-access farm, which I don’t normally like, and there’s never a strong wind to hunt in. But I knew I had to be in this particular background at this time of year in the hope of catching up with Splits. I made myself a fake Black Widow scratch and as luck would have it, Splits is back!
