STORM ON PUBLIC LANDS // Sleeping under tarpaulins in winter
I know this forest road well, but I never thought I’d get there in winter. With winter as we know it, the road was surprisingly beautiful on the way in. My friend JP was looking for a winter camping experience, and he got one! Although the weather forecast called for snow interspersed with rain, all we got was snow. In these conditions, fire, shelter, heat and travel are constant challenges, requiring vigilance as sustained as the precipitation! Back at the vehicle, the engine started fine, but as soon as I put it in gear, we realized we were in trouble. The SUV didn’t move a muscle and “spinnait de d’ssour! It’s a good thing JP was with me, because I’d still be there ;-). I didn’t film that part. Too stressful.it’s all worth it when you look around and see these magical landscapes.an adventure that ends well despite everything and that we’ll remember for a long time.enjoy!
