The beauty of nature and moose in Alaska

The beauty of nature and moose in Alaska. Hello from the MooseMan team! This morning’s film has been in the works for some time. Grab a coffee or tea and settle in for a treat. We all know that Libby and I have been on a trip together to study moose since 2015. I’d been on my own solo journey for decades before meeting Libby, since 1979. This morning, I’d like to talk about our other journey, the photographic journey. I used Nikon film cameras with manual focus lenses from the 70s until 2007. I switched to Nikon DSLR digital in 2008, then to Nikons mirrorless in 2018. Libby photographed with Nikon cameras until 2019 and switched to Sony mirrorless A9 and A1 cameras. But more specifically, the journey from still photography to videography is the subject. I’d like to thank Michael Mauro of the Wild & Exposed podcast for his mentorship and mention all the friends who have influenced me over the years. The journey from photo to video continues and progresses. This is where today’s film enters the conversation. Libby filmed the entire clip. She filmed it, produced it, and put her own stamp on it. I’m very proud of her. We thank you both for being part of this ongoing journey. Some key points in this clip to identify are 2:46 seconds when Grumpy’s head bobs towards Chantler, the year was 2019. (Stories will soon be revealed about Chantler) and they’re a lot of fun.Watch at 3:44 seconds when a rain shower hits the woods on the day we filmed Turkey and her rutting pit last fall. At 5:18 seconds, it’s Flat Top in the snow stretching and feeding on those berries, and later, at 7:02 seconds, I’ll point out that it’s spring in Alaska, notice the antlers starting to grow, the shaggy winter coats starting to fall, and the insect bites appearing on the bottoms of their legs. This is all quite natural for elk in spring, and a few months later they all have a shiny new coat of fur, and those leg wounds are all healed. Thanks for watching our channel, we’re the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey (Libby squared), New Hampshire wildlife photographers (and part-time Alaskan). In New Hampshire, we spend many of our spring and summer kayaking hours photographing loons and elk in New Hampshire waters. And we hike miles and miles in Alaska in search of all kinds of wildlife in the fall. Here’s our info:You can watch more videos on this link.Youtube : https://bit.ly/YTMooseManSite web : https://bit.ly/WebMooseManInstagram : https://bit.ly/IGMooseManNOUVEAU* Twitter : https://bit.ly/TWMooseManNOUVEAU* Pinterest : https://bit.ly/PTMooseMan#moosephotography #mooseofinstagram #wildlifephotographer #alaska #alaskatravel #naturephotographylovers #naturephotography #wildlifephotography #wildlifephotographer #moosephotography #MooseMonday #moosemafia #AlaskaWildlife #alaskawinter #AlaskaWildlife #moosemoose #winteriscoming #winterwonderland #alaskalife #alaskaadventure #alaskaphotography #visitalaska #winterphotography #coldday #coldweather #winterishere #mooserack #moosepaddle #bullmoose #natgeoyourshot #natgeowild #animalplanet #animalkingdom #alaskathelastfrontier #alaskathebeautiful #AlaskaYoung #layinglowalaskaRick & Libby Libbey ProprietorsAndover, NH 03216
