The biggest moose are giants. Hello from the MooseMan team. It’s always a pleasure to share a new video with everyone. The theme of this video is “big boys. Moose are big in general, but these fun few minutes are devoted to BIG bulls. Some of our favorites appear in this video, 22, Drop Tine, MisMatch, and a very special appearance near the end by Grumpy. In the woods of Maine, I was able to identify many moose, both male and female, and follow them throughout their lives. I spent so much time getting close to the animals by kayak that it was an entirely different adventure and challenge. As we head to Alaska for our eighth moose rut this year, we’re very grateful to have listened to a few friends share their wisdom with us, allowing us to look at the whole adventure from a broader perspective.Personally, I’ve learned a lot from examining my thoughts and feelings when an old bull dies and being grateful for what I’ve experienced rather than being filled with sadness. We plan to discuss this further and I hope to pass this reflection on to some of you. These animals are beautiful and strong and it is a privilege to study them and document a part of their lives.Thank you for watching our channel, we are the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey(Libby squared), wildlife photographers from New Hampshire (and part-time from Alaska.) It’s our passion to document wildlife in all its forms, but elk are definitely at the top.In New Hampshire, we spend much of our spring and summer hours kayaking and photographing loons and elk in New Hampshire waters. In autumn, we travel many miles in Alaska in search of all kinds of wildlife. To find out more about Nikon/Sony equipment, techniques and wildlife, click on the links below.source
