The Fly Fishing Film Festival (PALM) | Aventure Chasse Pêche

On its annual Quebec tour, the Festival de film de pêche à la mouche (PALM) showcases short films made in Quebec. The Festival offers salmon anglers the chance to create a film of 5 to 20 minutes or a Reel of less than a minute to be included in one of the Festival’s two official selections. Of all the films received, those selected will be included in the official selection, and their short films will be screened during the Festival’s tour of Quebec. The public and the jury, made up of videographers and key players in the salmon world, vote for the winners, who share prizes worth $15,000 (Short) and $1,500 (Reel). Winners are announced at the grand finale in Quebec City. Through their films, the filmmakers convey their passion, their way of life and the culture associated with fly fishing. The PALM Festival is also an opportunity for fishing, nature and film enthusiasts to meet and talk with various organizations working in the field.
