The start of the moose rut! Welcome to Moose & Coffee There’s something special about velvet moose. And for us, when we arrive in Alaska each autumn, the males are in full velvet and the rut is still a few weeks away. It’s such a peaceful time for the males before all hell breaks loose towards the end of the month.Come with us on this videoSoak up the Alaskan landscape and the tranquility of the woods in August. We’ve been hitting the trails and hiking to get back in shape, and can’t wait to do it again. We’re truly blessed for our adventures, our friends and the life we share together.In other news, we’ve decided to revisit the woods of northern Maine this year in hopes of finding some New England elk to film. The cameras will be running most of the time, and we’ll be sharing all this with you before we leave for Alaska. The journey continues!
