Two large bull moose in a training session. Moose Nature. This video features two of our favorites, two males we’ve been documenting for 5 years, 22 and Mismatch. We suspect they were almost mortal enemies during the rut, but they’re buddies otherwise. 22 has finished losing his velvet and smelling his oats. But he also likes to lie down. A LOT. Mismatch was not far away, strangely enough, and was raking up the last of his stubborn velvet when he decided to approach the recumbent 22 and engage in a little friendly sparring. The 22 never got out of bed. That is, until… In any case, it was a magical moment. We think it was probably 22 that fought Mismatch a few years ago, breaking Mismatch’s right wood.
