 What do moose do before the rut begins? During the moose rut, there’s often tension and intensity as the moose move relentlessly across its progress. But before the rut really begins, there’s a certain calm in the area where they live. While they’re still in the velvet, they continue to feed, and the males often mingle with each other until the velvet falls off. We’ve filmed a total of seven moose ruts in a row, and we’ve come to appreciate this period of calm before everything explodes and it’s every man for himself.Thanks for watching our channel.
