Woodzoland Fishing day in the Petit Saguenay area

A fishing day in June in the Petit-Saguenay sector of the Batiscan-Neilson ZEC. I’ve visited this area several times and it’s a place I really enjoy.

This time, I’m alone! None of my faithful companions are accompanying me on this adventure.

I fish for trout with light casts and flies, either from my skiff or by wading. I use a paddle, but also my Minn Kota electric motor to move around and troll.

All the lures I use are artificial. On this day, I caught more trout with my light casting equipment, using Gulp artificial worms and a spoon that must be over twenty years old! I didn’t use anything else. I’ve done all my fishing with this equipment.

The music you hear in this video is courtesy of Oleksii Kaplunskyi, available on Pixabay. I’d like to thank him for his generosity and talent. His music adds an extra dimension to my videos and I’m grateful to be able to use it.

Welcome to the WoodZoLand channel, where you can discover the joys of nature in Quebec. I’m passionate about camping, fishing, hunting, and side-by-side hiking.

My love of nature and fishing probably stems from the fact that I’ve been to outfitters with my parents on several occasions since I was very young. I love sharing my adventures with you, and helping you discover the beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife.

I often travel with one of my faithful four-legged companions, who love to explore and have fun with me. I invite you to follow me on my escapades, mainly in Quebec’s controlled harvesting zones (Zec), where I enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature.

You’ll also see how I transformed my trailer into a comfortable caravan, where I can rest. I love cooking outdoors. There’s nothing like a good wood-fired meal, accompanied by a good brew!
